Create Developments will be completing the extension project with its sister company, Create Construction, which will be providing the construction expertise.
The first phase of the hotel was completed in May 2018 by Create, which was part of the Council's regeneration of the New South Promenade in Blackpool.
The hotel currently comprises 130 bedrooms, a fitness room, business work zone, reception area and restaurant/bar.
It recently provided much-needed accommodation for key workers during the height of the Covid-19 crisis.

The planned extension to the hotel will provide 74 more bedrooms, a larger and more efficient kitchen and breakfast area, and new flexible meeting spaces — improving both its capacity and efficiency.

“The extension to our Blackpool Hampton by Hilton Hotel is a testament to the success of our team and the quality of the Hampton by Hilton brand,” said Gill Mathison, spokesperson for Create Group.
“I am delighted that the improvements we are making to the hotel will entice more people to come and stay at the resort which, in turn, will provide much needed support to other local businesses."
Create Construction will begin building works in Q1 2021, with a build duration of 52 weeks.
